Upon reaching Luxor, you will be greeted by the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were laid to rest in elaborately decorated tombs. Upon arrival at Cairo airport
Our representative will be waiting for you upon arrival at Cairo Airport. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel to relax the rest of the day. And before our representative says “goodbye” will give you a quick brief about your journey’s itinerary and approving the pickup times.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Giza.
Then, board your air-conditioned coach and head to the Giza Plateau, where you will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. See the Khufu Pyramid, the largest pyramid in the world, and the Khafre Pyramid, with its famous Sphinx. Learn about the history and construction of these amazing structures from your Egyptologist guide.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue your tour to the Necropolis of Saqqara, which is located about 30 kilometers south of Giza. Here, you will see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the first pyramid ever built. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-see for any visitor to Egypt.
In the afternoon, you will return to your hotel in Giza.
After breakfast at the hotel you will start your day in the Al Darb Al Ahmar, an area south of Cairo’s city walls. This was initially the site of Fatimid and Ayyubid-era cemeteries, but under the prosperous reign of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad, the population of the city reached its peak and the area began to be developed in earnest.
Next, visit the Salah El Din Citadel, a massive complex of fortifications that was built in the 12th century by Salah El Din, the Ayyubid sultan who defeated the Crusaders. The Citadel is home to several mosques, including the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, which is one of the most beautiful mosques in Cairo.
Then, proceed to the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa, which is considered to be one of the most important architectural masterpieces in Cairo. The mosque was built in the 14th century by Sultan Hassan, and it is characterized by its massive size and its stunningly intricate decorations.
Finally, visit the Mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, which is the third largest mosque in Egypt. This mosque was built in the 9th century, and it is notable for its unique spiral minaret and its spacious prayer hall.
In the afternoon, you will return to your hotel.
In the morning, after breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, make arrangements for a smooth transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor. Once you arrive in Luxor, precede directly to a smooth check-in your chosen hotel.
After relaxing for a while, you will be picked up for an exciting excursion to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, both located on the East Bank of the Nile. Karnak Temple is an awe-inspiring complex of ancient Egyptian temples, chapels, and other structures. Marvel at the elaborate architecture and beautifully preserved hieroglyphics as you explore the grounds.
And then visit Luxor Temple, another remarkable archaeological site, dedicated to the ancient Egyptian gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Admire the grand avenue of sphinx statues and the intricately carved reliefs that tell fascinating stories from Egyptian mythology.
After a captivating afternoon of exploration, return to your hotel and overnight.
Early in the morning, and when the breakfast will be served in away boxes, the hot air balloon representative will be waiting to pick you up for a real unforgettable adventure to fly freely like a bird to enjoy watching Luxor’s desert, green fields, temples and the River Nile all in one tableau.
And when the hot air balloon is landed, you will be picked up by our Egyptologist guide for a visit to the Valley of the Kings. This valley is home to the tombs of many of Egypt’s pharaohs (Three tombs included). You will visit three tombs of your choice.
Next, you will visit Hatshepsut Temple. This temple is dedicated to the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, and it is one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.
Finally, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon. These are two giant statues of the pharaoh Amenhotep III, and they are one of the most iconic landmarks in Egypt.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for a domestic flight back to Cairo, and upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel and enjoy some leisure time until our representative will be met to transfer you to Cairo international airport for returning home.
