The first stop is Abydos, a city that was once the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. The most famous landmark in Abydos is the Temple of Osiris, which was built by King Seti I and completed by his son, King Ramses II. The temple is dedicated to the god Osiris, who was the god of the dead and the underworld.
