Day 1Fly to Luxor & visit the eastern bank

Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo. You will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be met by your Egyptologist guide and taken to Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. The temple complex was built over more than two thousand years by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the great Hypostyle Hall is an incredible forest of giant pillars.
After lunch, you will visit Luxor Temple, which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals. The temple is dedicated to the god Amun. You will have some free time for shopping in Luxor before being driven to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore Luxor at your own pace.

Day 2Visit the Western Bank & fly to Cairo

Early in the morning, enjoy a relaxing breakfast in your hotel in Luxor. Then, you will visit the West Bank of the Nile River, where you will see the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon). Next, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, where you will see three of the magnificent tombs that were carved deep into the desert rock. These tombs are richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs.
Afterwards, you will continue the tour to the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive temple is dedicated to the only female pharaoh, Queen Hatshepsut. The temple rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then, you will embark on a felucca to Banana Island on the Nile River. After that, you will be transferred to Luxor domestic airport to fly back to Cairo. In Cairo, you will be met by our representative and transferred by private air-conditioned van to your hotel.
