Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Hurghada and board one of two Mahmya boats. Sail for about an hour to Mahmya Beach, which is located on the southern shores of the Giftun Island National Park. Mahmya means “Protected Area” in Arabic, and the boats moor at buoys off the pristine bay to protect the coral reef and its marine inhabitants. You will be taken to the shore by smaller boats.
Once you have landed on the island, you are free to explore. Snorkel on the impressive coral heads scattered in the clear lagoon, walk along the sandy beach, play beach volleyball, or just relax on the pure white beach. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant, which serves seafood and Italian specialties. Later in the day, you can enjoy drinks at the bar.
