St. Simeon Monastery is a historic Coptic Orthodox monastery located on top of a hill overlooking the Nile River in Aswan, Egypt.
It was founded in the 6th century AD by Saint Simeon Stylites the Elder, who lived on top of a pillar for 37 years.
The monastery is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Egypt for the Coptic Orthodox Church. It is also a popular tourist destination, and visitors can climb the stairs to the top of the hill to see the ruins of the monastery and the pillar where Saint Simeon Stylites the Elder lived.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive you to the monastery. At the monastery, you will see the ruins of the monastery and the pillar where Saint Simeon Stylites the Elder lived. You will also see the monastery’s library of ancient manuscripts and museum of religious artifacts.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Elephantine Island, where we will see the ruins of a temple dedicated to the goddess Isis.
In the evening, we will drive you back to your hotel in Aswan.
